depend的基本意思是“吊”“悬”“挂”,作“依赖于(yú)”“依靠”解时主要指某种要出(chū)现的情况、未(wèi)知(zhī)的兄(xiōng)含事(shì)实(shí)及待作出的决定等有关的事物(wù)的不确定性。

　　引申可指信心十足或对(duì)某(mǒu)人充分相信。

　　depend多(duō)与on或者upon连用，且只能接疑问词从(cóng)句(jù),其他情况(kuàng)都用作(zuò)普通不及物动词。
